Field of activity 3: energy demand and new marketing models
From the above mentioned challenges for the energy system of the future potential business fields for new players increasingly result, as well. The most important prerequisite for this is a higher flexibility of the electricity market, the necessary adaptation of the current regulatory framework and the potential orientation of the market system towards renewable energies in order to test new models for the conversion of the energy supply infrastructure.
The main issue is an intelligent coordination between supply and demand in order to develop new marketing models under consideration of newly developed storage concepts, the extension and conversion of power supplies and the active integration of the user side through smart grid solutions as well as new approaches of the load management.
By means of the synchronisation of production and consumption on the side of the demanders it is possible to adapt the demand side better to the fluctuating energy from regenerative plants, to reduce the peak loads and thus to save costs.
