Field of activity 8: technical innovations for the agricultural practice of tomorrow
Whereas in many projects new technologies are invented from the perspective of the developers, in the future the design of processes with a high benefit for the users will be increasingly decisive in bio-economy. Complex issues from the bio-economic practice are the starting point for common projects with universities and other relevant institutions.
The aim is to further develop and optimise a sustainable agricultural practice in the cooperation of farmers, machinery contractors, producers of agriculture system technology solutions, consultancy facilities and science.
The following subjects build main emphases:
- Support of the nutrient management of agricultural operations by using state-of-the-art information technologies
- Regional information and assistance systems for smart farming as integral component of a sustainable agriculture
- Machine-independent sensor systems for the sustainable use of resources in the cultivation of plants on site
- Innovation support by means of consultation according to the bottom-up principle – from the individual group to intercompany group approach
